Subsurface imaging
Instruments that image what is under the ground rather than what is on it. Ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic imaging and multi-sensor systems from OKM, used for utility locating, archaeology, void and cavity detection, and groundwater work.
These are not LiDAR. LiDAR measures surfaces with a pulsed laser and stops at the first thing it hits. Subsurface instruments work by radar or by electromagnetic response, and they trade the centimetre accuracy of a laser scanner for the ability to see through soil, rock and concrete. Depth and resolution both depend heavily on ground conditions, and any supplier who quotes you a single depth figure without asking what you are surveying is guessing.
Purchase orders accepted from universities, colleges and government agencies. The W-9 and vendor pack are attached to every quote.
