Two built-in cameras are the confirmed difference from the standard Reach RS4, and the weight gap between them is a separate, unresolved question
The confirmed hardware difference from the standard Reach RS4 is two cameras, one front-facing and one bottom-facing. Those cameras add AR stakeout, points and lines overlaid on the live camera view for layout. They also add measurement from photos, capturing points on facades, behind fences, or across traffic without a total station. Emlid's own product page for the standard RS4 makes no mention of a camera anywhere on it. Emlid's current figures show the Pro weighing about 16 grams more than the standard model, though one independent dealer states a different Pro weight, covered below.

The cameras claim 3 to 5 cm accuracy within 10 meters, a figure only Emlid's datasheet publishes
Both cameras use a 1/2.6 inch CMOS sensor, the chip that captures the image, with a global shutter and Full HD resolution at 25 frames per second. The front camera covers 64.6 by 42.8 degrees; the bottom camera covers 63 by 42 degrees. Emlid's official datasheet states the dual-camera measurement feature holds 3 to 5 cm accuracy within 10 meters of the receiver. That figure appears nowhere else we checked: not on Emlid's own product page, not on either dealer page. Treat it as a manufacturer figure that stands alone, not one independently confirmed. AR stakeout and photo-based measurement both run through Emlid Flow, the same app used for field setup and data collection.

RTK holds 7 mm plus 1 ppm horizontally, and static observation tightens that further
RTK, real time kinematic positioning, corrects the receiver's signal against a base station as you work. In RTK mode it holds 7 mm + 1 ppm horizontal accuracy and 14 mm + 1 ppm vertical. PPM means the error grows slightly with distance from base. Static observation, left running over a fixed point, tightens to 4 mm + 0.5 ppm horizontal and 8 mm + 1 ppm vertical. PPK, post processed kinematic, corrects the same signal after the survey and lands at 5 mm + 0.5 ppm horizontal. Tilt compensation adds about 2 mm plus 0.3 mm per degree of tilt. Emlid's own example puts a 30 degree tilt over a 1 km baseline at 18 mm precision. Convergence, the time to lock a fix, runs about 5 seconds.

672 channels track six constellations, and Emlid's own datasheet contradicts itself on a seventh signal
The receiver tracks 672 channels across GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC, updating at up to 10 Hz. Emlid's own datasheet headlines 'L1/L2/L5/L6' as a page 1 bullet, but the same document's page 2 signal-tracked table lists no L6 signal for any of the six constellations. That is a contradiction inside Emlid's own single document, not a dispute between sources. We state it here rather than resolve it: L6 tracking is neither claimed nor ruled out on this page.

The LoRa and UHF radios change power and range by region, so no flat wattage figure applies everywhere
The built-in LoRa radio runs on 868 or 915 MHz and reaches other Reach receivers only. Emlid's own table sets its output power by region. It runs up to 1 W unrestricted, 0.1 or 0.5 W in the USA and Canada, 0.025 W in Europe, and 0.02 W in Japan. Range follows the same pattern, from 10 km unrestricted down to 2 km in Europe and Japan. The UHF radio runs 410 to 470 MHz on the TRIMTALK 450S protocol and also reaches third-party receivers that support it. Emlid rates UHF at up to 2 W where unrestricted, down to 0.1 W on some Japanese sub-bands, and notes some regions may require a license. One independent dealer states a flat power figure with no region attached, at odds with Emlid's own table. Use Emlid's regional table, and call +1 888 850 6533 to confirm which limit applies to where you will work.

The battery is built into the receiver, and it runs up to 16 hours as an RTK rover
A 5000 mAh Li-Ion battery, rated 7.2 V, powers the receiver for up to 16 hours as an RTK rover with tilt compensation running. It logs for up to 22 hours on the same charge. It charges over USB-C Power Delivery, drawing up to 15 V at 3 A, and pulls a maximum of 10 W in use. Emlid's own setup documentation describes the battery as built into the unit, not a separately supplied or removable item. IP68 sealing and an operating range of -40 to 65 degrees Celsius carry the receiver through dust, water and temperature swings on a job site. An 8-pin connector on the base adds three options: constant power from an external source, RTK communication with a third-party radio, or position streaming to other devices. The power pin accepts 6 to 36 V DC.

The box contents and the receiver's weight both carry unresolved disagreements across every source, so call before you order
What ships in the box is genuinely disputed. Emlid's own product page names only three items: receiver, carrying case and USB-C cable. Two independent dealers we checked instead itemize five: receiver, case, cable, LoRa antenna and UHF antenna, with no battery, bracket or documentation listed separately. Weight carries its own gap: Emlid's current product page and datasheet both state 943 g, while one independent dealer states 920 g. We are not picking a side on either figure.
