A three-section pole that carries a GNSS receiver and phone at working height, but Emlid documents a matching mount for only one of its current receivers, so confirm fit before you buy.

01

Confirm your receiver's mount before you order, because Emlid publishes no compatibility list for this pole

This pole's mount uses a 5/8-11 UNC thread. Emlid's own datasheet for its Reach RX2 receiver names the identical thread, with a quick release, as that receiver's mount. It is the only current Emlid receiver whose own documentation confirms a match. Emlid's own page for this pole shows it beside several of its own receivers in a 'Pair It With' carousel. That carousel is a merchandising display, not an engineering statement, and no receiver is named as compatible anywhere in the page's description or specification table. The datasheets for Emlid's other current receivers list dimensions, weight and operating temperature, with no mount figure, so their fit is undocumented rather than ruled out. Call +1 888 850 6533 and tell us which receiver you are pairing this with, and we will confirm the mount before you order.

02

It extends to 1.8 m and folds to 0.74 m, built to carry a receiver and a phone at working height

The pole is anodized aluminum, extends to a maximum height of 1.8 m and folds to a closed length of 0.74 m for transport. It weighs 0.9 kg (1.98 lb) and carries a maximum load of 10 kg (22.05 lb). It is rated for -20 to +70 degrees C (-4 to +158 degrees F). Flip locks hold each section at height, and the smartphone mount fits phones 63 to 93 mm wide and up to 15 mm deep. The GNSS receiver itself is not included. Two independent sellers describe this pole as having a level bubble. Emlid's own specification table for it lists no such feature, so we do not list one either. Emlid's own cautions: do not exceed the 10 kg load, and do not bend the pole while extended. Keep it out of direct sunlight for long periods, and do not use it in a thunderstorm, since it can conduct electricity.

03

Independent sellers disagree about one receiver, and Emlid's own site does not settle it

Two independent sellers of this pole make opposite claims about compatibility with Emlid's Reach RS2+ receiver. One states the RS2+ fits with a thread adapter. Another states the pole is compatible with the RS2+, with no adapter mentioned. That claim sits in the same paragraph as a maximum extension figure its own specification table contradicts two lines later. Emlid's current page for the RS2+ now serves setup and support content, not a specification sheet, so neither claim is confirmed on Emlid's own site. We do not pick a side. Call us with your receiver on hand, and we will check the fit before you order, not after.

04 FOR UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

We take purchase orders from universities, colleges and government agencies, with a W-9 on every quote

My Surveying Direct is an authorized Emlid reseller. Every purchase order quote includes a W-9 and our vendor pack. Emlid's own page and the other sellers we checked list two items in the box, the pole and a carrying bag. We will confirm exactly what ships with your order, and that it fits the receiver you are pairing it with, before you buy. This pole ships direct from the manufacturer. Specifications

What it is
Function A three-section pole accessory that mounts a compatible GNSS receiver at working height for field surveying, extending and locking with flip locks
Receiver not included The GNSS receiver is not included in this purchase
Mechanical specifications
Material Anodized aluminum
Maximum height 1.8 m
Closed length 0.74 m
Weight 0.9 kg (1.98 lb)
Thread 5/8-11 UNC
Operating temperature -20 to +70 degrees C (-4 to +158 degrees F)
Maximum load 10 kg (22.05 lb)
Compatible smartphone width 63-93 mm (2.48-3.66 in)
Compatible smartphone depth 15 mm (0.59 in)
Level bubble, not on the manufacturer's own spec table Two independent dealer pages describe a bubble level on this pole; Emlid's own spec table for it lists no such feature. Not confirmed by the manufacturer, so treated as an unverified addition rather than a specification
Compatibility, and what is not settled
Emlid's own product page Displays this pole alongside five of its own receivers and kits in a 'Pair It With' carousel, which its own page code identifies as a commercial cross-sell widget, not a stated compatibility list. No receiver model is named as fitting this pole anywhere in this page's description or specification text
The one receiver whose own datasheet documents a matching thread One current Emlid receiver's own official datasheet states its own mount as '5/8-11 UNC and quick release,' the same thread standard as this pole. No other current Emlid receiver's own datasheet was found to publish a mount or thread figure at all
A second receiver's own datasheet, no mount figure Another current Emlid receiver's own official datasheet gives dimensions, weight, operating temperature and ingress protection in its Mechanical section, but states no mount or thread figure anywhere in the document
A third receiver's own datasheet, no mount figure A third current Emlid receiver's own official datasheet gives the same categories of mechanical detail and again states no mount or thread figure anywhere in the document
A fourth receiver's own datasheet, no mount figure A fourth current Emlid receiver's own official datasheet, a higher-tier version of the third, repeats the same pattern: mechanical detail given, no mount or thread figure stated
A discontinued-from-marketing model One older Emlid receiver's own current product URL, still listed in Emlid's own sitemap, now serves a support and setup page rather than specifications, so no mount figure for it was obtainable from Emlid's own site at all
Independent dealer cross-check One independent dealer's own listing states the pole's 5/8 thread as compatible with four older/entry receiver models, but adds that a thread adapter is required for that fit. That dealer's list does not include the newer receivers named above, in either direction
A second dealer's compatibility line, contradicted by a third A different independent dealer's own marketing paragraph states this pole 'is compatible with the Reach RS2+ and other receivers,' naming a current Emlid receiver with no adapter mentioned. That same paragraph also claims a maximum extension its own spec table two lines below contradicts, so its reliability is already in question on this page. It directly conflicts with the dealer cross-check immediately above, which states the same RS2+ needs a thread adapter for this pole. Neither claim is corroborated anywhere on Emlid's own site
What our own catalog stocks Five Emlid receivers are live on mysurveyingdirect.com today: all three whose own datasheets publish no mount figure, the one whose own datasheet documents the matching thread, and the older model whose own current Emlid page carries no specification at all. Emlid's own site does not establish which of these five a buyer can mount without an adapter
Confirm the mount for the other four receivers before you order A shared 5/8-11 UNC thread is documented by Emlid itself for only one of the five receivers this catalog stocks. For the other four, no source states whether the fit is direct, adapter-only, or unconfirmed. A buyer pairing this pole with a specific receiver should confirm the mount by phone before ordering
What's in the box, and what is not settled
Emlid's own product page and two independent dealers state Two items: one survey pole, one carrying bag. Neither Emlid's own package list nor either dealer's own package list names a smartphone mount as a separate boxed item, even though both describe the pole as equipped with one
Whether the smartphone mount is its own boxed item Neither Emlid's own package list nor either independent dealer's package list states whether the smartphone mount ships as its own boxed item or comes fitted to the pole already
Field cautions
Load and stress Do not exceed the 10 kg maximum payload. Do not bend or stress the pole while extended, since a bent pole reduces measurement accuracy
Environment Do not expose the pole to direct sunlight for a long time. Keep it away from power supply sources and do not use it during a thunderstorm, since it may conduct electricity
Handling Be careful when handling the tip. Watch your fingers when closing the flip locks or handling the control device holder
Care after use After surveying in the rain, dry the flip locks with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth. After surveying in dusty or sandy environments, clean the flip locks with compressed air
