The NEO is the small end of the handheld range, and the only one with no moving parts. A dome sensor rather than a rotating head.
No moving parts is the point
A rotating scanner has a bearing, and a bearing on a handheld that lives in a truck and gets carried round a site is the thing that eventually fails. The dome removes it. It also makes the unit smaller and lighter, which matters more than it sounds when you are on hour three of walking a site.
1.15 million points per second across a 360 by 189 degree field of view, with two 12 MP cameras for spherical imagery and colourisation.
Standard against Basic
Same instrument, and $3,500 separates them. The difference is the LP360 Land licence tier, perpetual either way, with annual maintenance from year two.

Worth a call first
Handhelds are easy to specify badly, because the honest answer often depends on what you are walking through rather than what you are measuring. Describe the site and we will tell you which channel count you need.
