DJI Matrice 400 TB100 Intelligent Flight Battery
W-9 and vendor pack with every quote
Shipped direct from the manufacturer
977 Wh and 400 rated cycles, one aircraft it fits, and one charging route DJI names for it. On flying or shipping with it, DJI publishes nothing.
01
DJI names the Matrice 400 for this pack, and names no other aircraft
DJI names the Matrice 400 as the aircraft this battery flies on, and names no other. It also states that accessories for the Matrice 400 and the Matrice 350 are not compatible with each other, in either direction. The Matrice 400 flies on one battery rather than a pair. For recharging, DJI names one route, the BS100 Intelligent Battery Station.
02
977 Wh, 400 rated cycles, and 45 minutes to full at 220 V
20,254 mAh, Li-ion 13S, meaning thirteen cells in series, and 977 Wh of energy. DJI rates the pack for 400 cycles and states that continued use afterward is not recommended. A charge from 0 to 100 percent takes 45 minutes at 220 V in the BS100 station, measured at 25 °C. DJI's specification page calls that setting Fast Charging Mode, while DJI's own BS100 Product Information document calls the identical setting Turbo Mode. Hot swapping is supported, and DJI puts the window at 45 seconds.
03
DJI says how to store it and move it, and says nothing about flying with it
Before transport, DJI recommends discharging the pack to 30 percent or lower. For storage beyond three months it recommends 22 to 28 °C, and never outside -10 to 45 °C. That guidance covers the battery and controller together. A pack left uncharged for three months or more falls outside DJI's warranty. On air travel, DJI publishes nothing: no airline, IATA, UN38.3 or dangerous goods classification appears in its product, specification, FAQ, support, safety or manual material. Ask your carrier, and call us before you book freight.

Specifications
Compatibility
| Aircraft | DJI Matrice 400 only. DJI's FAQ states the M400 takes a single battery, not dual, and separately states that accessories for the Matrice 400 and Matrice 350 are not compatible with each other; the TB100 is not named as supported on any other DJI airframe |
| Charging | DJI's FAQ names one recharging route: "You can use the BS100 battery station for charging." No standalone single-battery charger or vehicle charger is named for the TB100 anywhere in DJI's product, specs, FAQ or downloads pages |
| Related battery, not interchangeable | DJI also sells a TB100C Tethered Battery for cabled and drone-dock power systems. DJI's Product Information document for the BS100 lists it as a separate, similarly rated product, not a drop-in substitute for a flight battery |
Capacity and charging
| Capacity, voltage and cell type | 20,254 mAh, 48.23 V standard voltage, 54.6 V max charging voltage, Li-ion 13S, 977 Wh energy |
| Weight | 4720 ± 20 g |
| Discharge and charge rate | 4C discharge rate, 2C max charging power |
| Fast charging time, 0 to 100% | 45 minutes on 220 V, 70 minutes on 110 V, both in the BS100 station's Fast Charging Mode (DJI's own BS100 Product Information document names the same setting Turbo Mode); 110 minutes on either voltage in Silent Mode. Measured at 25° C (77° F) |
| Charge-level modes | Ready-to-Fly Mode charges the battery to 90% in sequence; Standard Mode charges it to 100% in sequence |
| Cycle count | Rated for 400 cycles; DJI states continued use afterward is not recommended |
| Hot-swap | DJI states you can hot-swap the battery directly: a built-in capacitor in the aircraft provides backup power to essential components during replacement, and if the swap is completed within 45 seconds the aircraft can resume operation quickly |
Temperature and self-heating
| Charging temperature | 5° to 45° C (41° to 113° F); ideal range 22° to 28° C (71.6° to 82.4° F); charging stops automatically above 55° C (131° F) cell temperature |
| Discharging temperature | -20° to 75° C (-4° to 167° F); DJI states the battery cannot be used below -20° C (-4° F) |
| Self-heating | Below 5° C in the BS100 battery station, or below 20° C in the aircraft, the battery heats itself automatically before charging or flight; DJI states these are two different thresholds for two different contexts, not one figure |
| Operating temperature, station | -20° to 40° C (-4° to 104° F), the BS100's own operating range when charging or storing this battery |
Safety and transport
| Before transporting | DJI recommends discharging the battery to 30% or lower before transportation, for safety |
| Storage guidance | DJI's general guidance covers the battery and remote controller together, not the TB100 alone: 22° to 28° C (71° to 82° F) for storage over three months, never outside -10° to 45° C (14° to 113° F). Separately, DJI recommends storing and transporting the product generally at 15° to 25° C with about 40% humidity, and states a battery not charged or discharged for three months or more falls outside the warranty |
| Physical handling | DJI's Battery Safety Notice states: do not disassemble or pierce the battery; do not use it if swollen, leaking or damaged, or if it has been in a crash or heavy impact; keep it away from moisture, heat sources and direct sunlight; do not place it on a conductive surface or let the terminals touch metal objects |
| Shipping classification | DJI publishes no airline, IATA, UN38.3 or dangerous-goods classification for the TB100 anywhere in its product, specs, FAQ, support, safety guidelines or user manual pages |
