This pack fits the Matrice 30 and Matrice 30T, and DJI never confirms whether the Dock version needs a different one

DJI's own specification and FAQ pages name the TB30 as the battery for both the Matrice 30 and the Matrice 30T; the two aircraft share this exact pack. A separate Dock version of each aircraft also exists, with an additional built-in charging module. DJI states which aircraft pairs with the Dock, but never states whether the TB30 itself differs for that aircraft. One dealer claims Dock compatibility for the battery; we treat that as unconfirmed until DJI says so directly. Flying a Dock version of the M30 or M30T? Call us before you order and we will check rather than guess.

DJI rates this pack for 400 cycles, and the number only holds if you follow one charging condition

DJI's Battery Safety Guidelines state the TB30 is rated for 400 cycles, and that stability drops once you pass that count. The rating carries one condition. It holds only if you keep the battery charged to 90 percent or higher, for fewer than 120 days combined within any 12 months. DJI repeats the same figure and the same condition on its product page and its own store page. The condition makes this a maintenance target with a storage rule attached. DJI's user manual also lists a separate check every 50 cycles or 3 months. That is a service interval, not the battery's rated life, and the two numbers measure different things.

03

The BS30 Intelligent Battery Station is the only way DJI names to recharge this pack

DJI names one charging route for the TB30: the BS30 Intelligent Battery Station, which charges two batteries together. DJI publishes no standalone charger for one battery, and no vehicle charger, anywhere on its product page, specifications page, FAQ or downloads page. In the BS30, two batteries together take about 30 minutes from 20 to 90 percent, or about 50 minutes from 0 to 100 percent. Charging to 90 percent from empty takes about 40 minutes. A spare pack needs somewhere to charge, so call us before you order and we will put the right station on the same purchase order.

This battery self-heats below 10°C and cannot fly below it; never transport it above 30 percent charged

DJI's charging guidance says the battery self-heats automatically below 10°C (50°F). DJI's flight guidance recommends keeping the battery above 18°C (64°F), and states a takeoff limit triggers below 10°C. Before transporting it, DJI says never move a damaged battery, or one charged above 30 percent. DJI also says never use a battery that has been dropped or struck. Never place it in a microwave or a pressurized container, or rest it on a bare metal surface. If it falls into water, DJI says take it out at once, put it somewhere open and safe, and never use it again. DJI states its power level at 131.6 Wh and tells flyers to follow local airline rules. DJI publishes no specific IATA or UN38.3 classification number for this pack on any surface checked.

Specifications

Compatibility
Aircraft DJI's specifications and FAQ pages name the TB30 as the flight battery for both the Matrice 30 (M30) and the Matrice 30T (M30T); the two models share the same battery. A separate Dock-version aircraft exists for both models with an additional built-in charging module. DJI's own material states which aircraft pairs with the DJI Dock, but does not state whether the TB30 itself differs for that aircraft
Charging DJI names one recharging route for the TB30: the BS30 Intelligent Battery Station, which charges two TB30 batteries together. No standalone single-battery charger or vehicle charger is named for the TB30 anywhere in DJI's product, specifications, FAQ or downloads pages
Payload note DJI's FAQ states the M30 series gimbal and camera are fixed and cannot be replaced with other payloads. This battery powers a fixed-sensor aircraft, not a payload-swap platform
Capacity and charging
Capacity, voltage and cell type 5,880 mAh, 26.1 V, Li-ion 6S, 131.6 Wh energy, LiNiMnCoO2 chemical system
Weight Approx. 685 g
Charging time In the BS30 Intelligent Battery Station, charging two TB30 batteries together: about 30 minutes from 20% to 90%, about 40 minutes to 90%, about 50 minutes from 0% to 100%
Rated cycle life DJI rates the TB30 for 400 cycles. DJI states the battery's stability will be affected past the rated cycles, and recommends replacing it at that point. DJI states this 400-cycle figure applies when the battery is stored with a charge of 90% or above for no more than 120 days of the first year; it is strongly recommended to follow the usage guidelines on the sticker inside the BS30 Intelligent Battery Station
Hot-swapping and self-heating DJI states the TB30 supports self-heating for cold environments and hot-swapping for fast turnarounds. DJI does not publish a specific swap-time window for the TB30 the way it does for some other DJI batteries
Temperature and self-heating
Operating temperature -20° to 50° C (-4° to 122° F)
Storage temperature 20° to 30° C (68° to 86° F)
Charging temperature -20° to 40° C (-4° to 104° F). DJI states that when the temperature is lower than 10° C (50° F), the self-heating function turns on automatically, and charging in low temperature may shorten the battery's lifetime
Low-temperature flight guidance DJI recommends keeping the battery temperature above 18° C (64° F), or heating it there with the self-heating function; DJI states a takeoff limit is triggered if the battery is below 10° C (50° F), and that battery life is shortened when flown in low temperature
Safety and transport
Before transporting DJI states: do not attempt to transport a damaged battery, or a battery with a charge level higher than 30%
Air travel and shipping DJI states the battery's power level is 131.6 Wh and instructs users to comply with local airline regulations when planning to fly with batteries, and to follow local regulations and guidelines for lithium battery transportation. DJI publishes no specific airline, IATA or UN38.3 classification number for the TB30 in any of the surfaces checked
Physical handling DJI states: do not use a battery that has been dropped or struck; do not put the battery in a microwave oven or a pressurized container; do not place the battery directly on a conductive surface such as a metal rack; do not connect the positive and negative poles with a cable or other metal object; clean the battery terminals with a clean, dry cloth to reduce the risk of connection failure
If the battery is submerged DJI states: if the battery falls into water with the aircraft during flight, take it out immediately, place it in a safe, open area, and do not use it again; dispose of it properly, and put out any battery fire using sand or a dry powder fire extinguisher
