This listing is the Traditional Basic purchase, and GeoCue names the LP360 Land software tier as the only difference between its two options

GeoCue publishes the TrueView GO 116S in two purchase options under the same product name, Traditional Basic and Traditional Standard. This one is the Traditional Basic, manufacturer part number FTV1001747A00T. GeoCue publishes no hardware difference between the two options. That holds across the product page, the handheld family page, the FAQ blocks on both pages, the 116S datasheet and the hardware users guide. Basic covers essential LAS file processing and data management. LAS is the standard file format for LiDAR point clouds. Multi-cycle processing, control point management, point cloud registration and automatic target recognition sit in the Standard tier. GeoCue states that tier is also required to install LP360 software add-ons and to run the TrueView GO 360 Photo Kit. Take this option where a processing machine in the office already runs LP360 Land Standard. Where nobody has one, and control points or registration are in the deliverable, buy the Standard option instead.

The data processes in LP360 Land only, and Traditional means you own that license outright

GeoCue states TrueView GO data can only be processed with LP360 Land, and not with LP360 Drone. So the desktop workflow arrives with the scanner, rather than plugging into software you already run. GeoCue sells the TrueView GO under two models. Traditional is a perpetual plan for the SLAM and LP360 software, owned outright with no subscription. FLEX is the annual subscription alternative, and it is not what this listing buys. GeoCue states that Traditional customers are charged a basic maintenance fee covering support and software updates. It does not publish what that fee is, or when it begins. That holds on the product page, the family page, either FAQ block, the datasheet and the hardware users guide.

Sixteen channels suit volumes, floor plans and progress capture, and the 132S is the buy when density is the deliverable

GeoCue's datasheet gives sixteen laser channels, two returns per channel, and a 320 kHz pulse rate. Usable range is 80 m at 10 percent target reflectivity on channels 5 to 12, and 50 m at the same reflectivity on the other eight channels. Reflectivity is how much light a surface sends back, and a dark target shortens the reach. Stated range runs from 0.05 to 120 m. GeoCue's FAQ for this scanner names its sensor a Hesai Pandar XT-16. It says the 132S in the same family uses a Hesai M2X, with double the laser channels and greater range. Buy the denser sensor when point density is the deliverable, on a detailed as-built or on a scan-to-BIM handover, where the cloud becomes a building information model. For volumes, floor plans, site capture and construction progress, sixteen channels are the sound buy.

Plan captures under 20 minutes per cycle, even though one battery runs an hour

GeoCue's datasheet gives one hour of working time from a single battery. Its own field guidance still tells operators to plan acquisitions as short sessions, ideally under 20 minutes per cycle. Long continuous captures create avoidable risk in processing. The compartment holds one battery at a time. Internal super capacitors carry the unit through a change. Once the battery is out the tablet shows a 60-second timer, and position and orientation must be unchanged before and after. GeoCue's pace guidance for this scanner is to favor 5 to 10 mph, which is 8 to 16 kph. GeoCue advises against working in rain, snow or fog, both for safety and because those conditions add noise to the point cloud.

It surveys forward rather than in every direction, so ceilings, floors and overheads need technique

The LiDAR field of view is 270 degrees horizontal and 30 degrees vertical, at minus 15, 0 and plus 15. GeoCue's field guidance states plainly that the scanner surveys forward and does not scan 360 degrees. It cannot capture data immediately above the operator's head or below their feet. GeoCue's own remedies are a loop on entering a room, and tilting the unit to pick up ceilings and floors. Three 5 MP RGB cameras, 15 MP combined, cover a 210 by 170 degree field of view. GeoCue's indoor guidance states that a fast walking pace in low light will ruin the photographs. Switch on every light available and slow down where the imagery matters.

Loop-free planning holds only while satellite correction is solid, and GeoCue publishes no test condition for its accuracy figures

GeoCue publishes absolute accuracy below 5 cm RMS horizontal and vertical, and relative accuracy below 1 cm. RMS is the root mean square of the errors. No test condition for those figures appears on the product page, the family page, either FAQ block, the datasheet or the hardware users guide. Read them alongside the conditions GeoCue does publish. Without satellite signal the unit computes coordinates from LiDAR and visual SLAM, reaching 5 cm precision within 1 minute. Global accuracy holds almost unchanged for the first 90 seconds of a gap in that signal, and drifts beyond it. The loop-free path planning claim assumes solid RTK or PPK, real-time or post-processed satellite correction. Indoors, and in urban canyons, dense trees and underpasses, loops and a second pass become required again.

GeoCue does not say which supersedes the other, and whether 317 mm includes the handle is not stated.
Weight GeoCue publishes two figures. Its TrueView GO 116S datasheet states 1.9 kg including RTK and battery. Extension pole kit A 2.5 m telescopic pole with a 5/8 inch-11 thread at the end. The scanner's handle unscrews and the unit mounts straight onto the pole, to reach roofs and other high points. A mounting bracket keeps the scanner upright when it hangs below the operator, for a silo or the side of a bridge, and fits the 32 mm black section of the pole. GeoCue supplies a thread locker for the 1/4-20 screw.
Car mount kit A suction cup tripod that mounts to a vehicle hood or another suitable panel, a 1/4 inch-20 to 5/8 inch-11 adapter, and a 10 cm extension rod that lifts the scanner clear of the surface. GeoCue supplies a thread locker for the screw threads.
