99.5 Wh, 200 cycles, and no self-heating. It does not fit the Matrice 4D or 4TD, which take a larger pack on a different cell count.

01

It fits the Matrice 4E and 4T only, and it does not self-heat

The Matrice 4E and 4T share this pack: 6741 mAh, 14.76 V, Li-ion 4S, 99.5 Wh, 401 g. The Matrice 4D and 4TD use a larger and separate battery at 6768 mAh, 22.14 V, Li-ion 6S. The two are not interchangeable in either direction. This one is rated for 200 cycles, and DJI says stability is affected past that. It does not support low-temperature self-heating charging, and runs -10° to 40° C in flight.

02

It charges only in the Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub, in one of two versions

DJI's FAQ is direct: these batteries can only be charged using the DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub. There is no aircraft charging path, and the battery cannot be charged while installed. The 100W hub takes about 78 minutes to fill one battery in Standard Mode, or about 60 minutes to 90 percent in Ready-to-Fly Mode. A 200W hub is faster, about 55 and 40 minutes, but DJI restricts it by region. Ask us which applies where you are.

03

DJI publishes no air transport instruction for this pack at all

The Matrice 4 Series Disclaimer and Safety Guidelines carry no lettered transport sub-list and no air travel instruction, unlike the Matrice 4D Series document, which does. DJI publishes no IATA, UN 38.3 or dangerous-goods classification number for this pack on any of its own pages. What DJI does publish is short. Do not store the pack fully discharged. Keep it away from heat sources and out of a hot vehicle. Do not charge it straight after flight.

04 FOR UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

Order the hub with the pack, or the pack has nowhere to charge

There is no other charging route, so a spare pack without a hub is a spare pack you cannot fill. Ask us to put both on one purchase order and we will confirm which hub version is available to you. My Surveying Direct is an authorized DJI Enterprise dealer, and we accept purchase orders from universities, colleges and government agencies. Shipped direct from the manufacturer. Specifications

What it fits, and what it does not
Compatible aircraft DJI Matrice 4E and DJI Matrice 4T only. Shared between the two: 6741 mAh, 14.76 V standard voltage, Li-ion 4S, 99.5 Wh, 401 g
Not compatible with The Matrice 4D and Matrice 4TD. Those aircraft use a different, separately sold DJI Matrice 4D Series Battery: 6768 mAh, 22.14 V, Li-ion 6S, 149.9 Wh, 640 g, rated for 400 cycles, and it supports low-temperature self-heating. DJI's own specification tables list the two batteries under different product headings and give no shared part number
What charges it
Charging method DJI's FAQ: "The DJI Matrice 4 Series batteries can only be charged using the DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub." No aircraft charging support exists; connecting the battery directly to other charging devices is not supported
Charging while mounted Not supported. DJI's FAQ: the DJI Matrice 4 Series does not support charging the battery while it is installed in the aircraft
Standard Charging Hub (100W) Approximately 78 minutes to fully charge one battery in Standard Mode, or approximately 60 minutes to reach 90% in Ready-to-Fly Mode, using the DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub (100W) and the DJI 100W Portable Charger
Faster Charging Hub (200W), region-restricted Approximately 55 minutes to fully charge one battery in Standard Mode, or approximately 40 minutes to 90% in Ready-to-Fly Mode, using the DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub (200W) and the DJI 240W Portable Charger (model CDX230-240). DJI's own footnote: "The DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub (200W) is not sold in certain countries or regions. Please contact your local dealer for more information." The Charging Hub (200W) input is USB-C only for firmware configuration; it charges batteries only via the dedicated SDC cable and the 240W adapter, never via a USB-C charger
Operating temperature (in flight, not charging) -10° to 40° C (14° to 104° F). DJI's safety guidelines: a high temperature can cause an explosion or fire; a low temperature reduces battery performance
Charging temperature 5° to 40° C (41° to 104° F). DJI's safety guidelines give an ideal charging range of 22° to 28° C (72° to 82° F) to prolong battery life
Charging voltage and rate Standard voltage 14.76 V; max charging voltage 17.0 V; discharge rate 4C; max charging power 1.8C
Third-party chargers for the standard hub DJI's FAQ: the DJI Matrice 4 Series Charging Hub (100W) can be charged with other USB-C chargers, and recommends prioritizing the DJI Portable Charger (100W) or another 100W+ charger supporting the PD protocol
Lithium safety and transport
Cycle life and stability Rated for 200 cycles. DJI's safety guidelines: when the battery has been cycled over 200 times, its stability is affected; make sure to replace it, otherwise device damage or third-party losses caused by batteries exceeding the rated cycles are the buyer's responsibility
Storage over-discharge caution DJI's safety guidelines: "DO NOT store the battery for an extended period of time after fully discharging. Otherwise, the battery may over-discharge and cause irreparable damage to the battery cell." A severely low-charge battery left idle for too long enters deep hibernation and must be recharged to wake it
Storage location cautions DJI's safety guidelines: DO NOT leave the batteries near heat sources such as a furnace or heater, under direct sunlight, or inside a vehicle on hot days
Post-flight charging caution DJI's safety guidelines: DO NOT charge the battery immediately after flight; its temperature may be too high and cause serious damage. Allow it to cool to near room temperature before charging
Air transport and dangerous-goods classification DJI's Disclaimer and Safety Guidelines for the Matrice 4 Series (4E/4T) carry no lettered transport sub-list and no explicit air-travel instruction of any kind: its numbered Battery Safety Notice runs 1 through 14 and stops at cycle-count guidance. No IATA, UN 38.3, or dangerous-goods classification number is published for this battery anywhere checked (product page, specs page, FAQ, and this safety document, read in full)
Physical damage and liquid contact DJI's safety guidelines: DO NOT use a battery that is swollen, leaking, or damaged, or one involved in a crash or heavy impact. DO NOT disassemble or pierce it. DO NOT allow liquid to come into contact with it, leave it covered in moisture, or drop it into water; an explosion or fire may occur
Genuine parts caution DJI's safety guidelines: DO NOT use non-DJI batteries or chargers; DJI takes no responsibility for any damage caused by non-DJI batteries or chargers
Fire response DJI's safety guidelines: extinguish any battery fire using water, sand, or a dry powder fire extinguisher
