Autel publishes no NDAA or Blue UAS claim for this aircraft, so a federal or state order starts with a call

Autel Robotics is headquartered in Shenzhen, China. Autel makes no NDAA compliance claim, no Blue UAS claim and no federal procurement eligibility claim for this model. That absence holds across its product and specification page, its FAQ page, its printed brochure, its user manual and its safety guidelines. The Federal Communications Commission's Covered List carries a category entry, added December 22, 2025, covering uncrewed aircraft systems and UAS critical components produced abroad. It excepts equipment on the Blue UAS lists, and devices granted a Conditional Approval by the Department of War or the Department of Homeland Security. Autel Robotics is not a named company entry there, and no Autel product appears in its UAS Conditional Approvals table. That describes a federal document, not a procurement opinion. If federal or state drone restrictions apply, call us and confirm with your contracting officer first.

39 minutes
Max flight time
Autel's own test condition: no wind, measured in a laboratory with the aircraft flying at a constant 10 meters per second in a light breeze. Autel's specification table and user manual both state 39 minutes; Autel's printed brochure and its own online store state 40 minutes for the same aircraft
20 MP
1 inch CMOS sensor
Sony sensor with an f/2.8 to f/11 adjustable aperture, shooting up to 6K video at 30 frames per second
1191 g
Takeoff weight
With propellers and battery fitted. Autel's maximum takeoff weight is 1999 g, or 1270 g where the aircraft is flown to C2 class certification in the European Union
10 kilometers
Max transmission range
Autel's own condition: under FCC rules, with no interference and no obstruction. Autel's specification table and user manual both state 10 kilometers; Autel's printed brochure states 15 km for the same aircraft. Under CE rules Autel states 8 kilometers

02

This is the fixed camera package, and the strobe, spotlight, loudspeaker and RTK module all belong to the other two

The aircraft is the EVO II Pro V3 with the 20 MP 1 inch sensor, the 6.4 inch Smart Controller SE and a hard carry case. Autel documents the strobe, loudspeaker, spotlight and RTK module for the Enterprise and RTK versions instead. This model's specification table, user manual, FAQ page and printed packing list carry no accessory section, no accessory port cover and no RTK module. Need centimeter-level positioning, and the RTK package ships with the module fitted and the 7.9 inch Smart Controller V3. Need a spotlight, a loudspeaker, a strobe or an ADS-B receiver, and that is the Enterprise body. Both are carried on this store as their own listings. For imaging or inspection needing no positioning hardware on board, this is the right package.

03

One 20 MP visual camera, and no thermal sensor anywhere on this body

The camera is a 1 inch CMOS sensor at 20 MP, 82 degree field of view, 29 mm equivalent focal length. Video is 6K at 5472 x 3076 up to 30 frames per second, 4K up to 60, 1080p up to 120. Stills reach 5472 x 3648 in JPG, 12-bit DNG, or both. Video ISO runs 100 to 6400, and a night scene mode takes video to ISO 44000. Autel scopes that ceiling to night scene video, not to stills. Its two documents split on the stills ceiling: 100 to 6400 in the specification table, 100 to 12800 in the user manual. Thermal imaging in this family is the separate EVO II Dual 640T line, on a different body.

04

39 minutes is Autel's laboratory figure, and Autel prints 40 minutes for the same aircraft elsewhere

Autel's specification table and its user manual appendix both give 39 minutes maximum flight time and 35 minutes hover time, with no wind. The stated condition is a laboratory environment with the aircraft flying at a constant 10 meters per second in a light breeze. Its printed brochure, its own online store and the introduction to that same manual all give up to 40 minutes. Plan against 39. Autel's manual puts wind resistance at a flat 12 meters per second. Its specification page splits it, 10.7 meters per second in takeoff and landing and 12 in cruise, so treat 10.7 as the pad limit. Operating range is -10 to +40 degrees C, or +10 to +40 degrees C on the heated battery. Autel states the pack must be pre-heated below 10 degrees C and cannot be hot swapped.

05

Autel's own documents disagree on transmission range, and the lower figure is the one to plan against

The figure on this page is 10 kilometers under FCC rules and 8 kilometers under CE, both with no interference and no obstruction. Autel's specification table and user manual appendix both give that pair, while its printed brochure gives 15 km. Treat any range figure as a clear-air best case. The link is tri-band and hops automatically: 902 to 928 MHz, 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz and 5.725 to 5.850 GHz. Autel adds 5.15 to 5.25 GHz in FCC regions, restricts 900 MHz to FCC and ISED regions, and warns some frequencies are region-restricted or indoor-only. The Smart Controller SE runs a 6.4 inch screen at 2340 x 1080 and 800 nits, Android 11, 128 GB storage with a microSD slot, IP43.

06

Nineteen groups of sensors, and Autel's own list of the conditions that defeat them

Autel states 19 groups of sensors, including 12 visual sensors covering six directions, plus the main camera, ultrasound and inertial measurement units. Sensing runs 0.5 to 18 meters forward and 0.5 to 16 meters back, both effective below 12 meters per second. Autel's own caution: obstacle avoidance may not work in limited lighting, under direct strong sunlight, or across thin tree branches or wires. Autel states the forward, rear and side sensors need rich texture and more than 15 lux of light, and the upward sensor more than 20 percent reflectivity. Hover accuracy is plus or minus 0.1 meters vertical and 0.3 horizontal on visual positioning, and 0.5 by 1.5 meters on satellites alone.

07 FOR UNIVERSITIES, COLLEGES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

Autel publishes two packing lists for this aircraft, so confirm the box and the body color before you order

Autel's printed packing list names the aircraft with battery, propellers, gimbal holder and a memory card. It adds the controller, one spare battery, one spare pair of propellers, the chargers, the cables, four printed documents and the carry case. Autel's user manual carries a different table for the same aircraft. That one adds a user manual, a lens cleaning cloth and a product certification, and names neither the memory card nor the carry case. Autel sells this bundle in gray and in orange under separate part numbers, and warns against third-party batteries and chargers. Who should not buy it: anyone needing centimeter positioning, a thermal sensor, a spotlight, a loudspeaker or a strobe. Shipped direct from the manufacturer. Call +1 888 850 6533 and a specialist will confirm the color and the contents before you order.

Which package this is, and what Autel puts in the box
The aircraft This is the Autel EVO II Pro V3 multi-rotor drone with the 20 MP 1 inch camera, packed with the Autel Smart Controller SE and a hard carry case. Autel sells it as the EVO II Pro 6K Rugged Bundle V3 and lists the aircraft under consumer products rather than enterprise productsAutel offers this bundle in two body colors, gray and orange, under separate part numbers. Confirm which color is on your order before you buy
In the box, from Autel's printed packing list Aircraft including battery, propellers, gimbal holder and a memory card; remote controller with sticks fitted; one spare battery; one spare pair of propellers; battery charger and power cable; controller charger; controller charging cable; controller lanyard; one spare pair of control sticks; four printed documents; carry caseAutel publishes two packing lists for this aircraft and they differ. The printed North America list is the one described here, and it gives the bundled memory card as 32 GB. The user manual's own packing table adds a user manual, a lens cleaning cloth and a product certification, and names neither the memory card nor the carry case. The card slide on Autel's own online store reads 23G, which is not a card size that exists. Confirm the exact contents with us before you order
No modular accessory set The strobe, loudspeaker, spotlight and RTK module are accessories Autel documents for the EVO II Enterprise V3 and the EVO II RTK Series V3. Autel's EVO II Pro V3 specification table, user manual, FAQ page and printed packing list carry no accessory section, no accessory port cover and no RTK module, so plan this aircraft as a fixed-camera imaging platform
The Enterprise package Autel builds the Enterprise version on a longer body: 427 mm wheelbase, longer carbon fiber arms, extra thermal vents, an ADS-B receiver and a modular accessory port, with the 7.9 inch Smart Controller V3 in place of the 6.4 inch Smart Controller SE. Autel documents a spotlight, a loudspeaker and a strobe for that body

Autel's two documents differ on the stills ceiling: the specification table on Autel's product page gives photo ISO 100 to 6400 and the user manual's camera appendix gives photo ISO 100 to 12800 for the same camera
Zoom 1 to 16x digital zoom, of which up to 3x is losslessAutel's specification table and brochure both state the 3x lossless figure; the user manual's camera appendix lists the same camera as 1 to 16x digital zoom without repeating the lossless figure
Gimbal Three-axis stabilization. Mechanical range: pitch -135 to +45 degrees, roll -45 to +45 degrees, heading -100 to +100 degrees. Controllable pitch -90 to +30 degrees. Angular vibration range 0.005 degrees
Gimbal control Autel's specification table adds a controllable heading range of -90 to +90 degreesAutel's two documents differ on how fast the gimbal can be driven in pitch: the specification table on Autel's product page gives a maximum control speed of 300 degrees per second and the user manual's camera appendix gives 100 degrees per second for the same gimbal
No thermal sensor This aircraft carries one visual camera. Thermal imaging on this family is the separate EVO II Dual 640T line, which uses a different camera and a different body
Flight performance
Flight time and hover time 39 minutes maximum flight time and 35 minutes maximum hover time, both with no wind. Autel's stated test condition is a laboratory environment with the aircraft flying at a constant 10 meters per second in a light breeze, and Autel states actual flight time varies with conditions and flight modeAutel publishes two figures for this aircraft. Its specification table and the user manual's appendix both state 39 minutes; its printed brochure, the introduction to that same user manual and its own online store all state up to 40 minutes. Plan against 39

Speed Maximum horizontal speed with no wind near sea level: 3 meters per second in novice mode, 10 meters per second in standard, 20 meters per second in ludicrous. Maximum ascent 8 meters per second and maximum descent 4 meters per second, both in ludicrous mode. Maximum tilt angle 33 degrees in ludicrous mode
Wind Maximum wind speed resistance 12 meters per second, about 27 miles per hourAutel's user manual states 12 meters per second flat. Autel's specification page splits it, 10.7 meters per second in the takeoff and landing phase and 12 meters per second in cruise, so treat 10.7 as the limit that matters on the pad
Altitude and range Maximum service ceiling 5000 meters above sea level. Maximum flight distance 25 km with no wind. Maximum flight altitude is capped at 800 meters in the app, and Autel states the altitude you set must comply with local lawAutel's printed brochure states a 7000 m service ceiling for the same aircraft, where its specification table and user manual both state 5000 meters
Temperature Operating range -10 to +40 degrees C with the standard smart battery, and +10 to +40 degrees C with the heated battery version
Noise Autel measures 69 dB while the aircraft hovers, 0.5 meters from the aircraftAutel's separate noise table, normalized to 1 meter from the aircraft and measured over an outdoor cement ground, gives 72.3 dB to the side and 76.7 dB below in a hover. Autel asks operators to check local noise restrictions in the flight area before flying
Hot swapping Autel states the battery cannot be hot swapped. Power down before changing it
Transmission and the controller
Range 10 kilometers under FCC rules and 8 kilometers under CE rules, both with no interference and no obstructionAutel's specification table and user manual appendix both state 10 kilometers under FCC. Autel's printed brochure states 15 km for the same aircraft. Treat the range figure as a best case in clear air either way
Bands Tri-band, hopping automatically: 902 to 928 MHz, 2.400 to 2.4835 GHz and 5.725 to 5.850 GHz, with 5.15 to 5.25 GHz in FCC regionsAutel states the 900 MHz band applies only in FCC and ISED regions, and that some frequencies are region-restricted or indoor-only. Check local rules before flying
Controller in this bundle Autel Smart Controller SE. 6.4 inch touchscreen at 2340 x 1080 and 800 nits maximum brightness, Android 11 with third-party app installation, 128 GB internal storage with a microSD slot, HDMI out to 1080p at 60 frames per second, IP43 rated, 617 g, operating range -10 to +40 degrees C

Autel states about 90 minutes to charge, 2.0 hours of use at maximum screen brightness and 3.0 hours at 50 percent brightnessAutel publishes two figures for this controller. Its specification table gives 2.0 and 3.0 hours; its printed brochure gives about 2 hours and about 4 hours. Plan against the lower pair
Aircraft storage 8 GB onboard storage in the aircraft, plus the memory card in the slot
Obstacle sensing
Coverage Autel states 19 groups of sensors, including 12 visual sensors covering six directions, plus the main camera, ultrasound and inertial measurement units, building a three-dimensional map and planning a path in real time
Sensing range Forward 0.5 to 18 meters and backward 0.5 to 16 meters, both effective below 12 meters per second. Left, right, up and down 0.5 to 10 meters, all effective below 5 meters per second
When it will not work Autel's own caution: obstacle avoidance may not work in limited lighting, under direct strong sunlight, or across thin tree branches or wires. Autel states the surface must have rich texture and more than 15 lux of light for the forward, rear and side sensors, and more than 20 percent reflectivity for the upward sensor
Battery, charging and safety
The battery Autel Smart Battery, 3-cell lithium polymer, 7100 mAh at 11.55 V, 82 Wh, 365 g. Charging voltage limit 13.2 V, rated charging power 66 W, maximum charging power 93 W
Charging Autel states up to 90 minutes for a full charge, and that the time depends on how much charge is left. Charging temperature +5 to +45 degrees C; below 5 degrees C or above 45 degrees C the battery stops charging
Cold weather Autel states the battery must be pre-heated before takeoff once its temperature falls below 10 degrees C, and that low temperature shortens flight time
Storage Autel's ideal storage environment is +22 to +28 degrees C, at -10 to +30 degrees C and 65 percent relative humidity plus or minus 20 percent
Battery care between jobs Autel states the storage surroundings should be clear of water and moisture and must avoid sunlight, and that you should recharge and discharge the pack every three months or so to keep it active
Autel's own warnings Do not modify the battery pack or its charger, and do not substitute third-party batteries or chargers; Autel states it is not responsible for the consequences if you do. Do not disassemble, scratch, squeeze, bend, puncture, cut or twist the pack. If it swells, smokes or leaks, stop using it immediately. Do not expose it to open flame. If the aircraft goes into water, remove the battery, keep clear of it until it is dry, and stop using it
Carrying a battery on a flight Autel states a single pack holds 82 Wh of energy and that, on airline requirements, it can be carried on board. Airline and route rules differ, so check with your carrier before you travelThis statement sits on Autel's EVO II Pro FAQ page, which covers the EVO II Pro family rather than the V3 aircraft alone. The 82 Wh figure in it matches the V3 specification table exactly
Positioning and remote identification
Satellite systems GPS, Galileo, BeiDou and GLONASS
Hover accuracy Vertical plus or minus 0.1 meters and horizontal plus or minus 0.3 meters when visual positioning is working normally; vertical plus or minus 0.5 meters and horizontal plus or minus 1.5 meters when only satellite positioning is workingThere is no RTK on this package. If you need centimeter-level positioning, that is the RTK package, carried on this store as its own listing
Remote identification Autel states the aircraft supports Direct Remote Identification and broadcasts over Wi-Fi Beacon, 802.11n, once enabled in the Autel Explorer app. Autel states remote identification is mandatory in some countries and regions and that operators must follow local law
Registration Autel's manual directs United States operators to complete real-name registration on the Federal Aviation Administration's website before flying, and states the FAA may impose civil fines for failing to do so
Data handling
What Autel says it stores Autel states aircraft log information, meaning the app version, the firmware version and the flight trajectory, is stored locally, and that it reaches Autel after-sales service only with the operator's authorization and consent. Autel states personally identifiable information is protected with AES-256 encryption and held in AWS data centers, that photos and videos saved on the remote controller are not uploaded to any server, and that the aircraft-to-controller video and data links are protected with AES-256 and AES-128This is Autel's company-wide statement rather than a document written for this aircraft
Card encryption Autel states media files on the memory card support an onboard storage password and AES-256 encryption, and that when encryption is enabled only the operator holds the password
Procurement and compliance, read this before a federal or state order
Where this aircraft comes from Autel Robotics Co., Ltd. states it was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in Shenzhen, China, with overseas subsidiaries including one in the United States
What Autel claims for this model Autel makes no NDAA compliance claim, no Blue UAS claim and no federal procurement eligibility claim for this aircraft on its EVO II Pro V3 product and specification page, its EVO II Pro FAQ page, its printed brochure, its user manual, its disclaimer and safety guidelines, or its own online store listing for this bundle
What the federal listing says The Federal Communications Commission's Covered List, in its August 14, 2026 version, includes uncrewed aircraft systems and UAS critical components produced in a foreign country, added December 22, 2025, with exceptions for equipment on the Blue UAS lists and for devices granted a Conditional Approval by the Department of War or the Department of Homeland Security. Autel Robotics is not a named company entry on that list, and no Autel product appears in its UAS Conditional Approvals table as of that dateThat is a description of a federal document, not a procurement opinion. If your purchase is subject to federal or state drone procurement restrictions, do not select this aircraft on the strength of this page. Call us first and confirm with your contracting officer
If you need procurement-eligible hardware Say so on the call. We would rather point you at something you can actually buy than sell you an aircraft your contracting officer rejects
