When perpetual beats the subscription, and when it does not
Against the annual subscription at EUR 2,250 a year, perpetual costs EUR 1,149 more in year one. It overtakes during year two: EUR 4,009 cumulative against EUR 4,500. From there the gap widens every year.
So if 3Dsurvey is going to be part of how you work, buy it. If you are still deciding, the annual subscription is the cheaper way to find out and this page will still be here.
The support renewal is not optional in practice
EUR 610 a year keeps support and upgrades running, and it has to be renewed before it expires rather than picked up later. Budget it from year two rather than meeting it as a surprise.
