REACH RS2+ Multi-band RTK GNSS Receiver

Centimeter precision for surveying, mapping and navigation

Overview

The REACH RS2+ is a powerful multi-band RTK GNSS receiver that delivers centimeter-level accuracy for professional surveying, mapping, and navigation applications. With its built-in LTE modem, long-range LoRa radio, and robust design, it's engineered to perform in the most challenging conditions.

Centimeter Accuracy with Multi-band Technology

The REACH RS2+ achieves centimeter precision in RTK mode with baseline support up to 100 km. It gets a fixed solution in just seconds and maintains robust performance even in challenging conditions. Centimeter accuracy can be achieved on distances up to 60 km in RTK, and 100 km in PPK mode.

With PPP support, you can record raw positioning data in the RINEX format for further post-processing with services like OPUS, AUSPOS, and PPP services, enabling precise results anywhere on Earth.

Key Advantages

Fast Fix

Gets a fixed solution in just seconds, even in challenging conditions.

Built-in LTE Modem

Power-efficient LTE modem with 2G/3G fallback and global coverage.

22-Hour Operation

Up to 22 hours of autonomous work on a single charge.

Rugged Construction

IP67 waterproof rating and temperature range from -20 to +65Β°C.

Long-Range LoRa

Up to 8 km range with 300% more range than traditional FSK radios.

Get cm-precise results anywhere on Earth with post-processing.

Built-in LTE Modem

REACH RS2+ features a power-efficient LTE modem with 2G/3G fallback and global coverage. Now corrections can be accessed or broadcasted over NTRIP independently, without relying on an internet connection on your phone.

With dual diversity LTE antennas, the RS2+ ensures better cell reception even on the edge of networks, future-proofing your investment against network sunsets.

Extended Battery Life

REACH RS2+ provides up to 22 hours of autonomous work when logging data and up to 16 hours as an LTE rover, even in cold weatherβ€”no more need to carry spare batteries with you.

The industrial-grade LiFePO4 battery handles both high and low temperatures well and supports 2,000+ cycles of charging and discharging while maintaining original capacity. Charging is simple via USB-C from a wall charger or power bank.

Flexible Connectivity Options

Multiple Communication Interfaces

REACH RS2+ offers versatile connectivity options including RS-232, TCP, and Bluetooth for real-time position streaming in NMEA format, compatible with most survey and GIS apps.

The receiver can automatically turn on and off in sync with an external battery connected over RS-232, which is particularly useful when the power button is hard to reach, such as when the receiver is placed on a vehicle roof.

Compatible Apps:
  • FieldGenius for Android
  • ESRI Collector
  • QField
  • And many others

Engineered to be Tough

Built for Challenging Environments

REACH RS2+ is designed to work even in the most demanding conditions with an IP67 rating that makes it waterproof up to 1m depth. All connectors are completely sealed and protected from water and dust with silicone plugs.

Extensively tested from -20 to +65Β°C, the RS2+ performs reliably in conditions that simulate coldest winters and hottest summers. The polycarbonate body, an extremely durable material used in bulletproof glass, makes the receiver impact-resistant.

Covered with elastomer, a rubber-like material that forms a shock absorber around the whole device. This material is permanently bonded to the polycarbonate base, so if your bipod falls over, the RS2+ will bump off with no marks left.

REACH RS2+ Rugged Design

Shock-Absorbent Elastomer Coating

The elastomer coating provides excellent protection against impacts and drops. This sophisticated manufacturing process ensures the material is permanently bonded to the polycarbonate base, offering superior durability in field conditions.

Long-Range LoRa Radio

The integrated LoRa radio operates at 868/915 MHz with a range of up to 8 km at only 100 mW power output. LoRa Spread Spectrum modulation provides 300% more range compared with traditional FSK radios at the same power.

This technology gives REACH RS2+ robust radio performance without sacrificing battery life. The LoRa radio is used to connect rover to base when Internet-delivered corrections are not available, making it ideal for remote surveying applications.

Industrial-Grade Battery

The REACH RS2+ features a high-performance LiFePO4 battery that handles both high and low temperatures exceptionally well. With USB-C charging support and 2,000+ cycles of charging and discharging while maintaining original capacity, this battery is built for longevity.

You get up to 22 hours in static logging and up to 16 hours in RTK with cellular enabled. The reliable performance eliminates the need for spare batteries or field replacements, making hot-swaps a thing of the past.

Compact and Lightweight

With dimensions of 126 x 142 mm, the REACH RS2+ fits easily in a small bag, making it highly portable for field work. At just 950 grams, it weighs less than a typical survey pole, reducing fatigue during extended surveying sessions.

The compact design doesn't compromise on performance, packing all the advanced features of a full-sized GNSS receiver into a conveniently portable form factor.
